This automatic cabinet-type station Clack PROTECT 0835 CI does not contain resin inside the fiberglass tank. The tank accommodates 18 liters of resin (depending on type), selectable from the available options (Ecomix A/C/P, Dowex, Ecolite, Pure, Birm, etc.). You can choose a softening resin (Dowex® HCRS/S) or a mixed resin (Ecomix A, Ecomix C or Ecomix P). Ecomix resins treat 5 water problems: hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter.

The station is operated by a Clack CI (USA) electronic valve with a digital display and EEPROM memory, which retains command settings even during power outages. The Clack CI valve is the best and most reliable control valve available. The valve is manufactured in the USA, is easily programmable and has a minimum lifespan of 10 years.

The Clack control valve is manufactured in the USA and is the most reliable control valve available worldwide. Piston positioning is performed optically using a photocell, eliminating the drawbacks of other valves that position their pistons using mechanical cams, which wear out over time.

The valve allows programming of complex multi-phase regeneration cycles. The display shows: exact time, days remaining until regeneration, water volume remaining until regeneration, instantaneous flow rate, and total filtered water volume. Regeneration is triggered after a preset water volume has been consumed, taking place at night when demand for treated water is assumed to be minimal.

Compatible filter media:

• Dowex HCRS/S: Premium softening resin, strong acid cation exchanger, hardness removal.
• Pure PC002: Economy softening resin, strong acid ion exchanger, hardness removal.
• Ecomix A: Mixed resin, 5-in-1, for removal of hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter, ion exchange capacity of 35g CaCO3/liter.
• Ecomix C: Mixed resin, 5-in-1, for removal of hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter, ion exchange capacity of 30g CaCO3/liter.
• Ecomix P: Mixed resin, 4-in-1, for removal of hardness, iron, manganese and organic matter, ion exchange capacity of 40g CaCO3/liter.
• Birm: Filter media for reducing iron and manganese in water.

This station accommodates 18 liters of resin in an 8″x35″ tank positioned next to the brine tank. The station also comes equipped with a brine tank. The station does not include filter media, which must be purchased separately. You can choose from several types of filter media: Dowex® HCRS/S, Ecomix A, Ecomix C, Ecomix P, Birm, Pure, Ecolite. The cabinet station Clack PROTECT 0835 CI is suitable for medium-sized households or even commercial and industrial applications. The nominal filtration flow rate is 0.6-1.2 m3/h, though this varies depending on the resin used. The station is installed immediately after the water inlet to the property (usually after the water meter) and operates automatically without any intervention required. Only salt tablets need to be added to the tank.

Protection and installation:
To protect the station, we recommend installing a sediment pre-filter capable of delivering the required water flow rate. After water softening stations, it is also recommended to install an activated carbon post-filter to reduce excess sodium following resin backwash.
