This automatic station Clack TITANIUM 1235 CI contains 37 liters of Ecomix C resin. The Ecomix C resin is a filter media made up of a mix of 5 ion exchange resins and natural and synthetic absorbent materials, specially designed to remove hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter from water. Ecomix C filter media is designed to treat water with moderate concentrations of iron, manganese, ammonium and high organic content. Ecomix C can soften water up to 45 German degrees. Ecomix C resin is used in cabinet-type or separate-tank softening stations and is loaded directly into the fiberglass tank of the automatic filtration station. Initially, the resin is combined and the layers of the 5 resins cannot be distinguished. After the first regeneration of the automatic station, the resin mix settles into distinct layers due to the different densities of the 5 resin types. To regenerate Ecomix C resin, softening salt tablets will be used.

The station is operated by a Clack CI (USA) electronic valve with a digital display and EEPROM memory, which allows the control settings to be retained even during power outages. The Clack CI valve, the best and most reliable control valve available. The valve is manufactured in the USA, is easily programmable and has a minimum lifespan of 10 years.

The valve allows programming of complex regenerations with multiple phases. It displays on screen: exact time, days remaining until regeneration, water volume remaining until regeneration, instantaneous flow rate, filtered water volume. Regeneration will occur after a preset water volume has been consumed at startup, at night when it is assumed there is no demand for treated water.

Filtration performance of the 5 resins:

Each layer of filter media in this resin will absorb the respective elements. As water passes through the resin, the number of sodium ions capable of performing the exchange decreases, and the number of ions retained on the resin increases, until the cation exchange resin reaches saturation. This is why the resin must be regenerated by passing a sodium chloride solution (brine) through the cation exchange layer, which will restore the resin's exchange capacity for another use cycle. Resin regeneration is performed automatically by the filtration station valve.

Ecomix C is a scientifically based technology, confirmed by 6 international patents, and has been in use since 1998. Ecomix A resin is suitable for both mains water and well/borehole water.
