    Are you planning to purchase a water filtration system but don't know what to choose: a water filter pitcher or a complete water filter system? Even though these two appliances offer the same functionality — filtering tap water — the difference lies in the treatment capacity and filtration quality. A filter pitcher cartridge has a filtration capacity of 50 liters, while a water filter can purify up to 6,000 liters. Of course, a water filtration system contains 5 filter cartridges and is therefore a much better choice.

    The choice will be made based on your needs and requirements. Do you want to purchase such an appliance to reduce the chlorine taste of tap water, or do you want a system that completely eliminates impurities from the water? To make the best choice, you need to know the main properties of these two systems.

    What is the purpose of a water filter pitcher?
    Whether made of glass or plastic, water filter pitchers have one thing in common: they contain a filtration compartment in which a filter cartridge is inserted. These act as a protective barrier to prevent chlorine from passing through. The water filter pitcher does not require prior installation. Simply fill the compartment with water. The cartridge is replaced monthly and costs approximately 25-30 lei.

    What are the different types of water filters?
    If you want a better solution capable of treating a larger amount of water, opt for a water filter system. The under-sink water filter is mounted beneath the sink and can filter up to 6,000 liters of water, approximately one year's worth of consumption. These types of systems filter water in 5 stages, completely removing sediments, heavy metals, chlorine, bacteria, and viruses. The water is also softened and has a pleasant taste and smell.
