Clack CI Control Valve

The station is driven by a Clack CI electronic valve, manufactured in the USA, featuring a digital display and EEPROM memory that retains settings even during power outages. Piston positioning is performed optically using a photocell, eliminating the mechanical wear typical of cam-based valves. The valve is volumetric, easily programmable, factory pre-set and supports programming of complex multi-phase regeneration cycles.

The display shows: exact time, days remaining until regeneration, water volume remaining until regeneration, instantaneous flow rate and total filtered water volume. Regeneration occurs automatically at night, after a pre-set water volume has been consumed.

The station does not include filter media; it must be purchased separately. Between 62-75 liters of resin can be added to the tank, depending on the type chosen:

• Dowex HCRS/S: premium softening resin, cation exchange, strongly acidic, hardness removal.
• Pure PC002: economical softening resin, ion exchange, strongly acidic, hardness removal.
• Ecomix A: 5-in-1 mixed resin for removal of hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter, ion exchange capacity of 35g CaCO3/liter.
• Ecomix C: 5-in-1 mixed resin for removal of hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium and organic matter, ion exchange capacity of 30g CaCO3/liter.

Protection and installation recommendations

To protect the station, we recommend installing a sediment pre-filter capable of handling the required water flow rate. After the water softener station, installing an activated carbon post-filter is also recommended to reduce excess sodium after resin backwashing. The station is mounted immediately after the water inlet to your home and operates automatically without any intervention — you simply need to add salt tablets to the brine tank.
