How it works

Water is exposed for a short period of time to the UV waves emitted by the 110W lamp. The ultraviolet rays absorb and destroy the nucleic acid, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) in microorganisms, thus sterilizing the water. The sterilizer is installed inline, after the water filtration system, on the main pipe, in a utility room, before the supply to household appliances.

Installation

Before starting installation, verify that all components are present. Insert the gasket onto the quartz tube, then insert it into the stainless steel sleeve. Connect the UV lamp to the power supply socket (ballast), then insert them into the quartz tube, tightening the sterilizer nut. On the water supply line, use 2 x 3/4" connectors, with a flexible hose recommended at both ends (inlet/outlet). The sterilizer is fixed to the wall with 2 clamps. After assembly, plug the power cord into the socket.

Important information

The sterilizer lamp must be replaced approximately every 12 months. Throughout its operating life, it must remain on at all times, as UV lamps are not designed to withstand repeated switching on and off. When the lamp burns out, the power supply will emit a sharp sound – this is the signal that the lamp needs to be replaced, as is the case after 12 months from installation.
