    Description

    The ultraviolet (UV) water sterilizer effectively eliminates algae, fungi and bacteria. Water is exposed to UV waves for a short period of time. Nucleic acid, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) in microorganisms are absorbed by UV rays and destroyed by them, thus sterilizing the water.

    The UV lamp inside the sterilizer has a power of 6W, and is perfect for sterilizing water supplied by a water purification system. This lamp can be installed on classic kitchen water purifiers, reverse osmosis systems, as well as water dispensers or commercial filtration systems (pastry shops, bars, restaurants, etc.).

    Advantages of a UV sterilizer:
    - Can be used with reverse osmosis systems as well as other water filters.
    - Leaves no residue and is very easy to maintain.
    - The ultraviolet lamp is replaced after 9000 hours of operation.
    - Installed in-line, after the water filtration system.
    - Stainless steel housing, highly durable.

    The UV sterilizer package contains:

    It is recommended for sterilizing purified well water, as well water always presents a risk of microbiological contamination.

    Sterilizer installation:
    Check that all components are present before starting installation. The first step is to screw in the two connectors (inlet/outlet). Teflon tape must be applied to the connectors. Then insert the gasket onto the quartz tube and place it inside the stainless steel sleeve. Next, connect the UV lamp to the power supply (ballast) socket and insert them into the quartz tube by screwing on the sterilizer nut. Once assembled, plug the power cord into the outlet. You can now secure the sterilizer with the 2 clamps included in the package.

    Update: I received the new, original seal for free by courier. I received the order today, I wanted to install it but I couldn't find that sealing ring in the package, luckily I found an o-ring at home to fit there.... otherwise let's see how it works.

    Purchased and installed without any issues. Unfortunately, however, it heats up the water inside it and the water comes out hot at the tap. Unexpected, I must say, though not too bothersome. This is something that can only be resolved by letting the water run longer than necessary.

    Toate sterilizatoarele UV cu lampa incalzesc apa. Acea putere de 10W se transpune si in caldura. In momentul in care apa sta in sterilizator pentru cateva ore, apa din el (aprox 100 ml) este calda, chiar fierbinte. Noi recomandam ca sa lasati sa curga apa pentru 3-5 secunde si apoi o sa fie buna si rece. Daca nu doriti sa fie incalzita apa, puteti alege un sterilizator cu UV-LED care porneste instant doar cand e consumata apa.
