    Description

Discover the quality of your water quickly and professionally with our water analysis package, which includes testing for 14 essential parameters. This convenient and fast service helps you obtain an informative report on your water quality at a very competitive cost, without having to visit our laboratory in person.

In short, the procedure is as follows: you order and pay for the water analysis, collect the sample in a clean container, package it and hand it over to the courier we will send to you. We analyze the sample and send you the results by email. Full details can be found below.

How the water analysis service works:

    1. Order and pay: Place your order directly on our website and pay the analysis fee in advance (by online card or bank transfer).
    2. Sample collection: Open the tap and let the water run for ~3 minutes. Rinse a clean container of approx. 1 liter (plastic or glass) 2-3 times with tap/source water. Fill the container to the brim and screw the cap on very tightly.
    3. Labeling and packaging: Label the sample with a marker, noting the following details: name, collection address, date and time of collection, order number. Then package the container in a box so that it is not damaged during transport.
    4. Sample pickup by courier: We will send a courier to your address to collect the water sample so that you do not need to travel.
    5. Professional analysis: The sample is analyzed in our laboratory using high-precision spectrometers, evaluating 11 key physicochemical parameters of your water.
    6. Fast delivery of results: Within 3-5 working days of receiving the sample, you will receive a complete analysis report by email showing the quality of your water, so that you can take steps to improve it if necessary.
    7. Interpretation and recommendations: Once we have the final results, we will briefly explain the issues identified and suggest solutions for improving your water quality.

    Parameters analyzed:
These parameters and their ranges are also relevant for water quality analysis, but include a few differences and additional values. Here is what each parameter represents:

    1. TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)
This is a measure of the total amount of solid substances dissolved in water, expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/L) or parts per million (ppm). TDS includes any compounds dissolved in water, such as mineral salts, metals, inorganic salts and organic matter. It is an important parameter in assessing water quality, especially for drinking water, but also for other uses such as agriculture, industry and aquaristics.
    2. Water turbidity - 0-1000 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units)
This is a measure of the clarity or transparency of water and indicates the presence of suspended particles in the water, such as sediment, microorganisms, organic matter or algae. These contaminants can affect not only the appearance of the water, but also its quality for consumption or other uses. The more turbid the water, the less clear it is, and high turbidity values can indicate poorer water quality.
    3. Free Chlorine – 0-15 ppm
This is the level of actively available chlorine in the water for disinfecting and eliminating microorganisms. Free chlorine is important for maintaining microbiologically safe water. Too low a level may not ensure adequate disinfection, while too high a level can cause irritation or an unpleasant taste.

    4. Total Chlorine – 0-15 ppm
Total chlorine includes both free chlorine and combined chlorine (bound to other substances, such as ammonia). It is a measure of the total amount of chlorine present in the water, including that already used for oxidizing contaminants. The difference between total chlorine and free chlorine is combined chlorine.

    5. Combined Chlorine – 0-15 ppm
This represents chlorine bound to other substances in the water (e.g., chloramines), which is less effective for disinfection. The presence of a high level of combined chlorine indicates that the water is already “spent” and that refreshing or additional treatment is required.

    6. pH – 6.4-10.0
pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of the water. Values below 7 indicate acidity, while values above 7 indicate alkalinity. A correct pH is important for chlorine efficiency and for preventing corrosion or scale deposits in water systems.

    7. Total Hardness – 0-60 dH (German degrees) / 0-1200 ppm
Water hardness is determined by calcium and magnesium concentrations. Hard water (>200 ppm) can cause limescale deposits in pipes and equipment. In general, soft water has a lower mineral content (below 60 ppm).

    8. Total Iron – 0-6 ppm
Iron in water can cause stains on sanitary surfaces and clothing, and can give water a metallic taste. Additionally, iron can encourage bacterial growth. Ideally, iron concentration should be below 0.3 ppm in drinking water.

    9. Ferric Iron – 0-6 ppm
Ferric iron (Fe³⁺) is the oxidized form of iron, which tends to be insoluble in water and can cause visible deposits or cloudy water. This type of iron is responsible for brown stains on sanitary fixtures or pipe rusting.

    10. Ferrous Iron – 0-6 ppm
Ferrous iron (Fe²⁺) is the dissolved, colorless form of iron in water. Although ferrous iron is not visible at first, it can oxidize into ferric iron when exposed to air, causing rust stains.

    11. Copper – 0-6 ppm
Copper can come from water pipes and can become toxic at high concentrations. Concentrations above 1.3 ppm can be harmful to health, and excess copper can cause an unpleasant taste in water and corrosion of fixtures.
    12. Nitrate (NO₃) – 0-45 ppm
Nitrates come from fertilizers, animal waste or wastewater infiltration and can cause health problems, especially for infants, who may develop a condition called methemoglobinemia (“blue baby syndrome”). The maximum permissible limit for drinking water is 10 ppm of nitrogen from nitrates (approximately 45 ppm nitrates).

    13. Nitrite (NO₂) – 0-2 ppm
Nitrites are an intermediate form in the nitrogen cycle and are far more toxic than nitrates. They form from nitrates through bacterial action. The maximum permissible limit for drinking water is 1 ppm of nitrites. High levels may indicate contamination of the water with animal waste or wastewater.

    14. Total Alkalinity – 0-250 ppm
Alkalinity measures the water's ability to neutralize acids and is closely related to pH stability. Correct alkalinity helps maintain a stable pH, which protects equipment and ensures effective disinfection. Ideally, water should have an alkalinity between 80-120 ppm.

These parameters cover a wide spectrum of substances that influence water quality and are useful for monitoring and controlling contaminants in treated water sources. This service is ideal for well owners who want to monitor the quality of the water they consume and ensure their family's health.

    Important note!
The analyses carried out through this service are performed using professional photometry equipment and specialized reagents, providing fast and accurate information on the physicochemical parameters of the water. However, these analyses are not RENAR accredited (National Accreditation Recognition of Romania) and serve a purely informational purpose. The results obtained are intended to help you understand the general quality of your water and make decisions regarding any improvement measures using filtration and purification equipment. If you require official results for authorities or for legal compliance, you will need to contact a RENAR-accredited laboratory for additional analyses.
