UV Sterilizer 55W, PureTECH UVC55A, flow rate 3 m3/h, 1" connection, complete package with power supply, lamp and housing

The ultraviolet (UV) water sterilizer effectively eliminates algae, fungi and bacteria. The water is exposed to UV waves for a short period of time. The nucleic acid, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) in microorganisms are absorbed by the UV rays and destroyed by them, thus sterilizing the water.

The UV lamp inside the sterilizer has a power of 55W and is perfect for sterilizing water throughout the entire home. This lamp ensures complete sterilization for a flow rate of 3 m3/h and can be used on the main water supply network. The sterilizer is installed in a utility room, before the supply to household appliances.

It is recommended for sterilizing purified well water, as well water permanently presents a risk of microbiological contamination.

Important information: the sterilizer lamp must be replaced at approx. 12 months. Throughout its operating period, it must remain switched on. UV lamps are not designed to withstand successive on/off cycles. When the lamp burns out, the power supply will emit a sharp sound. That is the moment to replace the lamp, or if 12 months have passed since installation.

Sterilizer installation:

Check that all components are present before beginning installation. Insert the gasket onto the quartz tube and place it into the stainless steel sleeve. Then connect the UV lamp into the power supply (ballast) socket and insert them into the quartz tube by screwing on the sterilizer nut. On the water network, use 2 x 1" connectors; we recommend flexible fittings at both ends (inlet/outlet). The sterilizer is fixed to the wall with 2 clamps. Once assembled, plug the power cord into the socket.
