How it works

Water is exposed for a short period of time to UV waves. The nucleic acid, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) in microorganisms are absorbed by UV rays and destroyed, resulting in sterilized water. The 220W UV lamp inside the sterilizer ensures complete sterilization of water throughout the entire home and can be used on the main water supply line.

Recommended applications

The sterilizer is installed in a utility room, on the main water pipe, before supplying household appliances. It is especially recommended for sterilizing purified well water, as well water permanently presents a risk of microbiological contamination.

Installation

Check that all components are present before starting installation. Insert the gasket onto the quartz tube, then slide it into the stainless steel sleeve. Next, connect the UV lamp to the power supply socket (ballast) and insert them into the quartz tube, screwing on the sterilizer nut. Two 1.5" connectors should be used on the water line, with a flexible hose recommended at both ends (inlet/outlet). The sterilizer is secured to the wall with 2 clamps. After assembly, plug the power cord into the outlet.

Important information

The sterilizer lamp must be replaced approximately every 12 months. Throughout its operating life, it must remain switched on at all times, as UV lamps are not designed to withstand repeated switching on and off. When the lamp burns out, the power supply will emit a sharp sound – that is the moment to replace the lamp, or if 12 months have passed since installation.
