The XLE-4040 reverse osmosis membrane, manufactured by Dow Filmtec, is the most productive membrane available on the market and has a filtration capacity of up to 9.8 m3/day (~2600 GPD) and low energy consumption, with a recovery rate of 15%.

This membrane is used in commercial reverse osmosis systems and operates optimally at a pressure between 6 and 10 bar. The membrane has a diameter of 4" and a length of 40". It is installed in a special housing.
